get support to stay engaged, resourced, and grounded while working in complex, mission-driven environments

WORK WITH ME

WHO I WORK WITH

I work with people working in mission-driven environments across policy, humanitarian, development, climate and sustainability, education, and other related fields.

They are navigating complexity, responsibility, uncertainty, and often difficult relational dynamics. While the work is meaningful, the personal cost can be high, especially when there’s limited space to process emotions.

I offer coaching-based support that helps clients make sense of how pressure is affecting them and find ways to protect and expand their emotional and cognitive bandwidth, energy, and the relationships that matter most.

People come to this support for different reasons:

  • their work is meaningful, demanding, and emotionally complex

  • they are carrying a significant emotional load without a place to process it

  • they experience tension between their values and the systems they work within

  • the ongoing pressure is showing up physically through fatigue, tension, sleep or stress-related symptoms

  • they want a compassionate, non-judgemental space to reflect, rather than advice or performance management

  • they want to stay engaged without being driven by constant urgency, scarcity or overwhelm

  • organisational support isn’t available or doesn’t feel like a good fit

Some are concerned about how ongoing strain is affecting particular areas of their lives. Others are closer to their limits and are looking for a different way forward.

Working together focuses on understanding what’s happening beneath the surface and developing responses that better support you within the realities you’re navigating.

My coaching provides a space to slow things down and pay attention — to what’s working, what’s not, and what’s calling for attention right now.

Together, we might explore:

  • the tension between care and capacity

  • patterns of urgency, over-responsibility, or perfectionism

  • how ongoing stress is affecting your thinking, relationships, or overall well-being

  • ways of responding to pressure that feel more intentional and sustainable

  • how to stay connected to what matters to you, without continually pushing yourself beyond your limits

The focus is on building awareness and discernment, and on developing responses that better support you within the realities you’re navigating.

When people have a dedicated, structured space to think and process, fresh perspectives can emerge along with a more grounded confidence in the choices they’re making. Over time, it can feel as though an old roadmap has been updated. People often describe feeling more like themselves again, with a deeper sense of self-trust and a clearer understanding of the patterns shaping their reactions. With that clarity, change tends to become less effortful, and new ways of responding start to feel both possible and natural.

WHAT THIS SUPPORT OFFERS

My approach is grounded in coaching and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), sitting somewhere between leadership and wellbeing coaching and therapy. It’s practical and future-facing, while also making room for the emotional and relational layers that are often left out of performance-focused work.

Our focus is on slowing things down enough to notice what’s really going on — in your thoughts, your body, your relationships, and the systems you’re working within. From there, we explore what matters to you, what you want to be different, and what might help make that possible within the reality you’re navigating.

Sessions move fluidly between practical experiments you can try out in your day-to-day life, and deeper exploration of the emotional patterns, beliefs, and habits that shape how you respond under pressure. We start with what’s present, rather than working to a fixed agenda, and let that guide where we go next.

You can expect a thoughtful, non-judgemental space where we pay attention to patterns and often-invisible influences, and where small, considered shifts have a lasting impact over time.

HOW I WORK

WAYS TO WORK TOGETHER

Ongoing coaching offers a consistent, structured space to reflect, experiment, and integrate change over time. It’s particularly helpful when pressure has been building gradually, or when a single issue opens up something broader underneath.

This may be a good fit if you’re looking for:

  • ongoing support while navigating complex or demanding work

  • space to explore what’s beneath the surface of current challenges

  • a relationship that supports change over time, rather than quick fixes

 It includes:

  • regular 1:1 video sessions (a minimum of 6 sessions is usually helpful)

  • personalised reflections or practices between sessions

  • optional message support between session

Next steps: You’re welcome to arrange an initial, no-obligation conversation to see whether this feels like a good fit. If you’d prefer, you can also get in touch by email with any questions before deciding.

1:1 coaching

A one-off 90-minute session for when you need space to think, reflect, or make a decision from a more grounded place.

This can be helpful if you’re:

  • at a crossroads

  • feeling stretched, stuck, or unsure of next steps

  • wanting support without a longer commitment

You’re welcome to bring whatever feels most present. The focus is on clarity, perspective, and next steps that make sense for you.

a single reset session

I also work with teams and organisations navigating complex systems or high emotional load.

This can include:

  • 1:1 coaching for staff or leaders

  • group sessions or workshops

  • reflective spaces for teams under sustained pressure

  • I made enormous progress with Emily, I could not believe how much we accomplished in a short time with her sessions. I learned to build my own foundation, reset my outdated roadmap, and I am a better parent now. This investment in myself is the best gift I have ever given myself and my family.

    CARLA – PARIS

  • Working with Emily I felt I took control over myself and my life. This kind of positive change from inside is very empowering. I now have physical strength and a better immune system as well as mental strength and confidence. I handle stress at work and prioritize better. I’m more grounded. My husband and my friends all say they can see a big difference. It’s a clear ‘before’ and ‘after’ this coaching — a real turning point.
